Contemporary architecture makes a twofold use of it: it can fulfil the role of a roofing material, but it can also constitute an original finish of the façade, in either a horizontal or vertical orientation.
Simple and quick assembly, high aesthetics of the roofing
Equipping the panels with a snap lock allows for quick and reliable joining while maintaining high tightness, which gives them an advantage over double-seam sheets. The mounting holes along the seam allow the mounting screws to be covered by the adjacent panel, positively affecting the aesthetics of the roofing. Increased rigidity allows the panel to be laid directly on roof battens, bypassing full roof sheathing. An additional advantage is the option of a roof panel with the Hydrocontrol system, which provides effective protection against moisture.
Hydrocontrol system
Pros of using the Hydrocontrol system: it absorbs moisture occurring on the inside of the roofing, due to condensation of water vapour; it gives additional corrosion protection, especially in buildings with an active chemical environment (e.g. livestock stables); it has higher strength than standard insulation and vapour barriers and is resistant to mechanical damage without degrading; it is easy to keep clean (with standard equipment, e.g. a hose or pressure washer); it raises the roof sound-insulation level; and it is non-flammable and resistant to bacterial degradation.
